Water Saving
Is your pool water neutral?
What is a water neutral pool, you ask? A water neutral pool is basically a pool that is “water-wise” and doesn’t rely on mains water to keep it functioning. According to the correct definition, a Water Neutral Pool must, at a minimum, have the following features:
- Water tank, to collect rainfall to top-up the pool as needed
- Pool cover, to conserve 90% of water lost through evaporation
- Backwash minimisation system, to prevent excessive backwashing (e.g. cartridge filter, oversized sand filter, centrifugal / pre-filter device, backwash recycle system, etc.)
Apart from saving precious water, a water neutral pool will also save you money, as you will use less chemicals and energy for heating.
So if you want to do your bit to help save our precious water reserves, please call us at Wet Water to discuss your options. You’ll be surprised that being green needn’t cost you the earth.
